The Doug Hart Band: Press

Every year there are dozens of great CDs released by Dayton-area bands. Some get a wider release outside the region, but most never get heard by an audience as large as they deserve. Doug Hart's long-awaited solo debut, Reckless Life is a solid blues-rock album with aggressive guitar work that draws as much inspiration from Jimmy Page and Jimi Hendrix as Stevie Ray Vaughan and Albert Collins. Stand-out cuts include VooDoo Woman, an amped-up, grungy Delta blues track, and Down Spiral, a simple but effective rocker.
